Hi I’m Alice

Mum to two wonderful girls. Life with them is full of surprises, laughter, and love—and while it’s not always easy, it’s the most rewarding adventure I know. As mums, we often feel the pressure to have every answer, to work but also be a good mum and somehow we should automatically know how to balance everything to make life run smoothly. In reality the challenges of motherhood and life can at times feel overwhelming, this doesn’t mean we don’t love our children but it is hard. Before I had children I felt I had a good idea of what I was getting myself into. I’m an Early Years Teacher, I had worked as a Nanny and I have nearly 20 years of childcare experience, surely I knew what to do! I think because of all of this experience I felt additional stress to be the perfect mum – to know it all and have all those perfect educational activities constantly set up but this was not always the case.

Becoming a dad is hands-down one of the most incredible yet challenging experiences of my life. It’s something I wasn’t entirely prepared for—and, honestly, I still feel that way sometimes. From my own journey and countless conversations with other fathers, I’ve learned this is a pretty universal feeling. Yet, many dads don’t openly talk about it, which is exactly why I’m passionate about breaking the stigma around men seeking support. This is part of why Ace Parenting Club exists. I wanted to build a forum where dads can actively find support, advice, whilst allowing them to be part of a community. While every dad’s journey may look different, the need for reassurance, help, and community is the same.
